Service A.B.A. is a company from La Spezia specialised in refit and vessel repairs, born in 1999 from the collaboration of highly specialised technicians with twenty years of experience gained in the most important shipyards.

Thanks to its professionalism and competence, combined with the seriousness of its operators, Service A.B.A. is a qualified company in the mechanical-naval sector for mechanical workshop work and customised yacht refit.

In addition to mechanical workshop work and refit, Service A.B.A. is also a technical assistance centre and official Vericor seller of aero-derived gas turbines for marine propulsion, mechanical transmission and power generation applications.

Service A.B.A. provides technical assistance and carries out work all over the world.

Other strengths of Service A.B.A. are Arneson assistance, line boring, the installation of bow-thrusters, hydrojets & turbines, and the maintenance of valves and sea cocks.

We also carry out specialised technical work, such as fitting hatches, ladders, gangways, anchor windlasses and warping gear, building shaft lines (vibrations, seals and alignments), pumps (fire-fighting, bilge, black and grey water, etc.) and repairing broken pipes and exhaust gas systems.

Precision mechanics

On-board mechanics
Alignments, shaft line installations with laser and telescope, rudders, warping gear, stabilisers, Arneson, waterjets such as KaMeWa, MJP, DOEN and others, flap system (including Humphree).
Hydraulics and oleodynamics
Hydraulic and oleodynamic systems, hatches, gangways, anchor windlasses, ladders: we also have test benches in the workshop to overhaul pistons.
We carry out complete overhauls of all types of hydraulic and oleodynamic systems: the experience gained over years of work allows us to analyse and check the operation of any component installed in your hydraulic or oleodynamic systems.
We carry out tests, maintenance, repairs and checks on components, with the help of professional test benches.

Metal carpentry
Service A.B.A. boasts many years of experience in metalworking and in particular in the polishing of stainless steel. Through the skilled use of the most suitable equipment and employing only operators trained in-house, we design and build any object, detail or complement.
Wood carpentry
Service A.B.A. also has a wood carpentry workshop, where specialised operators carry out every type of work.
